Latest Gentlemen, Here’s How To Look Slick For The Party Season – #TheArtOfDressing

Woohoo is my favorite period of the year, the monsoons are over, Christmas and New Year are getting closer, bars and nightclubs are filling up again, and there is a buzz in the air - is the holiday season!

So, if ever there was a time to get your wardrobe fit for a large tablecloth, now is !!

And so we worked hard to make it easy for you! We gathered four looks, from The Maroon Suit (TMS), Chandan Gandhi, pastors to turn heads into any party, and we had the first Indian club, The Playboy Club, Mumbai open their doors and turn on their millions of lights for us, just so you can feel the mood!

Let the festivities begin!

1. The one-button suit on tone!
Simple buttoning, button, shawl back, blue textured suit with navy details
Blue shirt
Dark blue polka dot pocket
Patent Leather Shoes

This is perfect for a party at night where the dress code says formal. I have to warn you about two things though:

a) The right coupling of the same tones. All hues are not good on all skin tones, so make sure you choose a color that works for you. The details must be subtle and do not exceed the top, or you will end up looking like Govinda in the 90s.

b) Choose the right nuances for the right occasion. Some nuances are appropriate for any event or occasion, and some nuances may only work in some cases. (I will make a blog about the costume colors soon.)

2. The classic velvet dinner jacket
Buttoned button jacket in black velvet, in embossed floral pattern.
Stand-up collar, white, button-down shirt
Black slim trousers
Pochette brown two tone
Star with Studded Lace (by Jimmy Choo)

Velvet jackets made a resurgence not so long ago, and as much as I like it, I would not say that it is a must in your wardrobe. As for the trends, velvet jackets have come in and out several times in its various avatars, such as tuxedo jackets in Gentleman Only private clubs, red carpet favorites for movie icons and rockstars, and of course, Hugh Hefner). But as long as it is here now, I say play with!

If you invest in your first velvet jacket, it is better (and safer) to adopt one in dark shades of dark or deep blue. I'm also partial to dark green and brown, and if you want to stand out a bit more, maybe one that has a subtle texture, or in a raised fabric. In all these cases, it is better to have the pants underplayed, better made in basic black!

And gentlemen, I can not stress enough on the fit, which is the second thing people notice when they see you after the color of your jacket!

3. Eccentric Slick
Asymmetric, velvet green bottle jacket with zipper detailing

A little oddity never killed anyone! I like the asymmetrical shape of this jacket, and the fact that it has a slide detail that doubles as a detachable element makes it super cool. And to top it off, the bottle green shade plays with the lighting of the room, perceptible at times, and blend into the night to the next!

Experiment with cuts, colors and prints gentlemen, live on the edge!

4. Sporty / casual chic!
Blue quilted quilted jacket
Semi-formal and fine shirt
Thin black tie
Black jeans
Black Leather Trainers

Nobody says it should be dressed! If you are the kind of guy who likes a more casual atmosphere about him when you go out to party, you want to try this! The quilted bomber makes all this look cool and edgy, and the tie adds the semi-formal touch to the set. Skinny jeans and sneakers look pretty good together, and what improves everything is the color palette. Nothing better than going to a disco!

But I must say that you have to choose the right type of bomber or jacket to do this job. A voluminous leather bomber will probably not give you the same effect, neither a light nor a tanned!

And there you have gentlemen, go ahead and have the night!

All jackets are the original Maroon Suit.
